- We are sinners
Romans 3:10, As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Romans 3:23, For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
2. There is a penalty for sin
Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Revelation 20:14, “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
3. Christ died FOR us
Romans 5:8, But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
2 Corinthians 5:21, For he [God the father] hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
